As the calendar closed in on year-end, one customer faced a critical challenge: an aggressive sales gap that needed to be closed in a matter of weeks. A significant portion of that volume had to be executed through contract packaging — at a pace well beyond normal operating capacity.

The ask was clear. The margin for error was not.

To meet the moment, Crescent mobilized quickly and decisively. Capacity planning shifted from optimization to acceleration. Shifts were extended, with first shift moving to 10 hours and second shift to 12, creating overlap that ensured seamless handoffs and uninterrupted production. Operations ran seven days a week during the final stretch, transforming the Fulfillment Center into a high-performance engine built for sustained output.

People made the difference. Crescent expanded its workforce by partnering with additional staffing agencies and bringing in specialized support — including 15 new forklift operators — to handle the surge in outbound volume. The team adapted in real time, aligning labor, equipment, and logistics to keep product moving.

The results were extraordinary. During the final week of the year alone, Crescent shipped 9,500 pallets, moving up to 40 trucks per day — more than double normal outbound capacity. Despite operating at 133% of standard capacity, quality never wavered. First Time Yield remained at 99.93%, proving that speed and discipline can coexist when execution is intentional.

This wasn’t just a peak season success. It was a demonstration of what happens when preparation, people, and process come together under pressure — enabling customers to close critical gaps and finish the year strong.

It’s how Crescent shows up when it matters most.
Do it Right. Do it Safe. Do it Well.
